Bespoke orthotic fitting service
As part of your treatment plan foot orthoses (insoles) may be recommended. These are devices that go within the shoe with the aim of modifying the load or forces which may be contributing to your problem. They may be something we suggest using as a short term intervention to allow an injured structure to heal or they may be required as a more of a long term solution depending on the specific problem.
Depending on the nature of your problem you may be offered prefabricated orthoses which are pre-formed or pre made insoles which can then be adapted by the podiatrist with specific additions or we can offer custom made orthoses where an impression of your foot is taken using 3D scanning technology and sent to a lab to make an insole completely bespoke to you.
We would encourage you to discuss with your podiatrist the pro’s and con’s of each type to help make a decision about what is best for you.
